Pip – Week Thirty Three

September 28, 2009  |  Baby  |  No Comments

Latest developments from Pip:

  • Latest stats: I now weigh about 4.4lbs/2kg and measure about 43.7cm from head to toe. Mummy is really starting to feel it…sorry. #
  • I now spend most of my time standing on my head, ready for the birth. Hope it doesn’t become a habit… #
  • I’m piling on the fat now – same as Mummy. She’s feeling very tired – good job she doesn’t have to go to work any longer! #
  • Most of my bones are hardening, but my skull is still deliberately a bit soft; its the one thing I can do to help Mummy out… #

Pip – Week Thirty Two

September 22, 2009  |  Baby  |  No Comments

Latest developments from Pip:

  • Daddy just read me another story whilst Mummy and me were in the bath – this time: Mr Greedy #
  • Mummy has started nesting. The nursery is almost complete, and Mummy is starting to sort out my first sets of clothes. #
  • Mummy & Daddy had their first ante-natal session yesterday. Nothing too scary, so far. All about Labour next week though… #
  • Latest Stats: I now weigh about 3.7 lbs/1.7kg and measure about 42.4cm from crown to toe. #
  • Here’s the latest artist’s impression of Mummy & me: http://bit.ly/pip-32weeks #
  • I’m likely to gain more than half my birthweight during the seven weeks before birth! Mummy can’t wait ;o) #
  • I’ve got hiccups! Mummy and Daddy seem quite amused. Bless them ;o) #

Pip – Week Thirty One

September 12, 2009  |  Baby  |  No Comments

Latest developments from Pip:

  • My development is slowing now – except the ‘getting fat’ bit. #
  • My arms, legs and body continue to fill out – and they are now proportional in size to my head. Would look weird otherwise… #
  • Latest Stats: I now weigh about 3.3 lbs/1.5kg and measure about 41.1cm from crown to toe. #
  • As I’m filling out more I’m starting to look more like a newborn… #
  • Went for an unexpected tour of the Labour Ward last night – got home at 2am. Mummy had some pain in her tummy and we went to check it out. #
  • Spent an hour on the baby monitor; I was moving so much that Mummy and Daddy had to chase me round with the heart monitor – bless them. #
  • All fine this morning though. No pain or discomfort, just tiredness. Given the all clear by the doctor. #
  • It’s starting to get very cramped in here. Don’t think I’ll be moving around as much in my last couple of months. #
  • I’m now weeing regularly, and my bone marrow now produces my red blood cells instead of my liver. #

Pip – Week Thirty

September 6, 2009  |  Baby  |  No Comments

Latest developments from Pip:

  • Bank Holiday Monday and we’re travelling back from my first holiday weekend. Great fun, but I’m sure I will enjoy the next one more… #
  • My lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. #
  • Heard Daddy talking to me earlier, and may have kicked him in the face. Hope he’s not too upset… #
  • I now sleep and wake at regular intervals. Mostly I’m awake when Mummy wants to sleep, and vice versa… #
  • My little toenails are getting longer – they’ll need to be trimmed as soon as I arrive! Apparently that’s Daddy’s job… #
  • I now measure almost 40cm head to toe, and will soon stop growing in length – will still put on weight though until I’m born. #
  • My eyes are now open as often as shut; I can detect light and dark, follow a moving light source and reach out to touch its glow. #
  • I now have eyebrows and eyelashes; hoping for Mummy’s eyebrows and Daddy’s eyelashes ;o) #

  • Deep Thought: The history and future of chaplaincy – Martin’s model is a fantastic one for chaplains:* To work from where you are
    * To see the need and respond in that moment
    * To use the tools that you have
    * To reflect upon that experience and see where Christ was IN that experience
    * To be willing to be CHANGED by the experience
  • How to insert FLV (Flash Video) into PowerPoint – But how to insert FLV Video to presentation effectively? Many people have difficulty in inserting FLV Video to PowerPoint. Here I will show you how to insert your favoriate FLV Video to PowerPoint according to my experience.
